who killed the electric car?

I think I might be the last person to have seen this movie (but just in case, you can watch it here). Eye-opening, for sure.

Question!  Was this commercial...

designed to intentionally evoke reminders of this...

or was it just me?

You're not the last one - I just heard about this recently on a podcast discussing Expelled and other documentaries, and I've been dying to see it ever since. Thanks for the link!

Wow. Mel Gibson never, EVER loses the crazy, does he?

The beard goes a long way towards making him into a Ted Kaczynski-like figure, yes. (Which, given the electric car's long history and Gibson's support of electric cars, may not be too ironic.)

I haven't watched this movie, but it's OK for you to give away the ending. Was it Mel Gibson who killed the electric car, or was it THE JEWS?

I thought the documentary was good, and it illustrates how corporations are sometimes really dumb. If the industry had kept selling electric cars at a high price to affluent consumers, they'd be in a position to sell them profitably today at an affordable price to many consumers, and they would be popular. Also, I find it amazing that the domestic car industry basically ignored the hybrid market for so long, while foreign models increased in popularity. Maybe domestic carmakers want to go out of business or something?
